Amphibian Stage Productions Presents Neil LaBute's "This is How It Goes"

Amphibian Stage Productions presents the play "This is How it Goes" by Neil LaBute, July 26- August 5, 2007 at Texas Christian University's Hays Theater in the Walsh Performing Arts Center, 2800 S. University Dr. at West Cantey in Fort Worth. Performances are Thursdays-Saturdays at 9 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Group discounts are available. (Free parking at Rogers and Cantey St.) For reservations and information: *17-923-3012 or at boxoffice@amphibianproductions.org.

And for those who don't know the play, it is a funny performance that also involves a powerful story of an interracial relationship.  LaBute toys with stereotypes and our notions of gender, ethnicity, and even memory in his play about what happens when an interracial couple's relationship begins to fall.

I saw this play in New York at the Public Theater a couple years ago, and it was wonderful. It's really funny, and it's also controversial and will definitely make you think. I think the subject of racism and interracial relationships is a great one to bring to Fort Worth audiences.
